Let’s Make the Link

Gippsland Women’s Health are excited to share our new video, produced for 16 Days of Activism against Gendered Violence 2016.  This video aims to help you to understand the link between gender inequality and men’s violence against women and the importance of gender equality in preventing and ending violence against women. We hope it inspires you to notice everyday comments, actions, attitudes, harmful stereotypes, social norms and behaviours that contribute to a culture that supports discrimination and the devaluing of women, which contributes to and allows violence against women to occur.

Gender inequality is a cause of violence against women. It is evident that gender equality and respect MUST be at the heart of change. For more information on what you can do.

Please share it with your friends, colleagues and networks.

We acknowledge the support of the Victorian Government and Victoria Against Violence for their support with this project.
